CBCA Clayton Bocce
CBCA Clayton Bocce is a proud community tradition overseen by the Clayton Business & Community Association (CBCA). At the heart of this vibrant program is the Ipsen Family Bocce Park—a beloved local landmark made possible through a generous donation from the Ipsen family, matched by CBCA funds and community support. Opened in 2014, the park was created as a space where people of all ages could gather, play, and connect in the spirit of friendship and fun.
Built in memory of longtime Clayton resident and community leader Skip Ipsen, the park features four lighted courts, seating areas, and a welcoming atmosphere in the heart of downtown. Each year, the CBCA honors Skip’s legacy by hosting the Skip Ipsen Memorial Bocce Tournament, bringing together players and supporters for a day of celebration, camaraderie, and friendly competition.
The CBCA’s Bocce Committee manages all aspects of the program, including seasonal leagues with over 1,500 players, open play opportunities, and court rentals. What began as a vision for a community space has grown into one of Clayton’s most cherished traditions—thanks to the dedication of volunteers and the enduring generosity of the Ipsen family.
CBCA Clayton Bocce is more than just a game—it’s a testament to the power of community.
