What is the CBCA?

The Clayton Business and Community Association (CBCA) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to serving the Clayton, California community through volunteerism, philanthropy, and civic engagement. Since 1984, the CBCA has brought together residents, businesses, and community leaders to support local events, fund scholarships and grants, and invest in projects that enhance the quality of life in and around Clayton. Signature events such as the CBCA Clayton Art & Wine Festival and CBCA Clayton Oktoberfest draw thousands of visitors each year, while the CBCA Clayton Bocce and Cornhole Leagues—founded and managed by the CBCA—bring neighbors together in friendly competition and community spirit.

Organization

Formed in 1984, the Clayton Business and Community Association (CBCA) is a charitable nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization made up of residents, business owners, and individuals from all walks of life who are committed to serving the Clayton community. The association is managed by an Executive Board who brings matters related to the annual budget, grant requests and governance to the General Membership for a vote.

Mission Statement

The mission of the CBCA is to engage members, local government, merchants, and citizens in raising funds and providing support for:

  • Community events and improvements

  • Service opportunities

  • Assistance for the poor and underprivileged

  • College scholarships

  • Youth educational and athletic programs

  • The development of educational assets

What We Do

Our members, volunteers, and sponsors share a common goal: to enhance the quality of life in Clayton and the surrounding areas. We do this through fundraising events, charitable grants, community activities, and networking opportunities.

How We Do It

Our success is made possible by dedicated volunteers who contribute countless hours in support of our mission. Many become members, giving them a voice in how association funds are allocated. Members also serve on committees that help plan events, raise funds, and manage the organization.

We are especially grateful to the sponsors and individual donors who have supported us throughout the years.

How can I get involved?

CBCA membership is open to anyone who lives in or near Clayton, or who works or does business in the area and wishes to serve the Clayton community.

You don’t need to be a member to volunteer at our events. Volunteering is a great way to meet your neighbors and give back. We welcome everyone to take part—your involvement makes a difference.
